As Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Lawson Conner's regulated entities G10 Capital Limited and Sapia Partners LLP, you will play a pivotal role to in ensuring that the firm is compliant with anti-money laundering regulations.

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience as a Financial Crime Lead having previously held the control function SMF17 designation.

Day to Day:

* Responsible for the review and maintenance of the Firms’ anti-money laundering systems and controls to identify, assess, monitor and manage the money laundering risk through periodic assessments

* Actively participate in the Firms’ various Committees as MLRO and subject matter expert

* Review PEP alerts to conduct initial and ongoing enhanced due diligence where appropriate

* Review suspected money laundering activity and where appropriate, submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) to the National Crime Agency (NCA)

* Preparing periodic MLRO Reports to the Firms’ Boards

* Oversight of the Firms’ inbound and outbound due diligence processes regarding the Firms’ counterparties

* Act as a central point of contact for financial crime and AML queries, providing advice and guidance to all internal stakeholders

* Keeping abreast with UK, EU and international developments in AML legislation, Sanctions and Guidance from bodies such as HM Treasury, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Joint Money Laundering Steering Provision of anti-financial crime training to Staff and Appointed Representatives

* Maintaining adequate records of information and documentation relating to the Firms’ anti-financial crime systems and controls

* Relationship building across the wider IQ-EQ group on anti-financial crime matters and ensuring that group policies and standards are adopted within Lawson Conner
