Company Description

ABOUT CATCH22

Catch22 exists to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose. We call these our '3Ps'.

We achieve this in two ways. First, we improve lives on the frontline through delivery of public services. Secondly, we use our knowledge to change 'the system', to fix the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help. With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda.

The Catch22 Employability division provides skills and employability provision on a range of programmes, both public and corporate funded. We pride ourselves on supporting the most disadvantaged in society to improve their prospects resulting in improved social mobility and sustainable positive change.

ABOUT THE DIGITAL LEAP PROGRAMME

Digital Leap, a co-designed pre-employment training programme from Catch22 and Salesforce, ensures participants are supported and prepared to access career opportunities in the digital and technology sector.

The programme sees Catch22 find and recruit participants aged 18 to 30 years old with a range of challenges – from gender and ethnicity barriers, homelessness, mental health issues, school exclusion and disability. It then supports them to access a digital apprenticeship and entry level IT job with a local employers.

Digital Leap aims to understand what can help broaden the opportunity of an apprenticeship and entry level IT role to those who currently face barriers to access the programme, and what support employers looking to diversify their workforce might need.

By the end of the four-week Digital Leap programme, participants should have:

* An understanding of digital apprenticeships and entry-level IT jobs

* An insight into the digital and technology sector

* Awareness of key employability skills

* Know how to complete a tailored CV, cover letter, and applications for the technology sector

* Developed their interview skills and techniques

* The ability to set future career goals

Once the programme is completed, participants can access ongoing 1-2-1 employability support via their dedicated career coach.
