Immediate Starts Available

The Role:

As a Child Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be providing support and building relationships with the pupils at the school by helping them to develop a new attitude towards education in a safe and friendly environment.

You will work alongside Parents, Families and various Professionals like Social Workers and Educational Psychologists in order to meet the needs of the pupils and their personalised learning plans.

You will aim to encourage and enthuse the pupils to participate in all school activities to their best abilities so they can build a more positive relationship with education and understand the benefits of learning.

The School:

The school specialises in supporting young people who have not been able to maintain a placement in their local mainstream school due to their social, emotional and mental health needs. On average, the pupils are at the centre for twelve weeks, however this can be shortened or extended depending on the needs of the pupils and how they respond to the placement.

The school curriculum is personalised for every pupil to ensure each child enjoys all aspects of learning and make the best possible progress throughout their time at the Centre.

The aim of the school is to influence the future decision making of the children by affecting a change in both their cognitive, emotional and behavioural responses, and use this success to encourage them to make positive choices.

Requirement:

A minimum of 6 months minimum experience working with children and young people.

Available full time Monday-Friday 08:30-15:30.

Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one.

Be Team Teach Trained or be willing to attend our 1 day (free) course.

Benefits of the role:

Excellent hourly rates paid weekly by our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.

Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability and qualifying criteria).

Pension contributions (subject to a qualifying period).

Full compliance with AWR (Agency Workers' Regulations), to make sure you get the pay and working conditions you are entitled to.
