-£26,000-£28,000
-37.5hrs/week with flexi hours of 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm
-Hybrid working at the present with 2 days in the office, post lockdown working to be confirmed.

Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Merchandiser, with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our Altrincham based client.
The day job can vary so you’ll need to be agile and look for opportunity in everything you do. As an Assistant Merchandiser within the Merchandising team you will be expected to:
-Manage your own department and play a key role in trading and driving profit and margin.
-Plan product ranges in conjunction with the Buying team and deliver a commercially viable range across 2 divisions.
-Analyse sales and prepare sales forecasts and figures for new ranges.
-Optimise the sales and profitability of designated product areas.
-Liaise with suppliers and distributors.
-Ensure all buys are placed and stock arrives as planned.
-Identify production and supply difficulties and deal with any problems or delays as they arise.
-Control stock levels based on forecasts for the season.
-Monitor slow sellers, and take action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.
-There are also some core basics to being one of the Assistant Merchandisers which should help you decide if you want to pursue a career with this organisation. 

The successful candidate will ideally:
-Have a minimum of 2 years previous merchandising experience in a head office environment.
-Currently be at Assistant level or higher, looking for the next step up and to manage your own area if the former.
-Possess strong numeracy and literacy skills with proven experience of using MS Office computer packages, particularly Excel.
-Show excellent analytical skills and a highly organised approach to work.
-Be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
